Fritsie comes to life in eye-catching out-of-home campaign
Iconic end-of-year commercials
In recent years, the State Lottery conquered Dutch audiences time and again with iconic end-of-year commercials. First there was Frekkel (2018), then Freddie the hedgehog (2019) and in 2020, kitten Frummel stole the show. All these characters were awarded a Golden Loeki, a testament to their popularity as well as the creativity of the campaigns. In 2021, audiences were introduced to a new hero: Cuckoo Fritsie. This colourful bird took centre stage in the TV commercial surrounding that year's New Year's Eve draw.
OOH with impact: Fritsie in lenticular print
Fritsie was not limited to the television screen, however. The campaign was followed up strikingly in the streets with an innovative out-of-home expression in lenticular print. Thanks to this technique, two visuals alternated as passers-by walked past the object - a playful and eye-catching way to attract attention and arouse curiosity. The lenticular expressions were on display at 25 strategic locations in busy city centres, including Utrecht, Leiden and Maastricht.
