RTL and Bauer Media Outdoor bring news to public spaces

Bauer Media Outdoor and RTL have launched a partnership to display the latest news from RTL News & Entertainment on more than 750 digital screens in the Netherlands. From 1 August 2024, passers-by will be shown real-time updates of RTL News and Entertainment at high-traffic locations in city centres and car parks, among others.

This cooperation not only increases the reach of RTL's content, but also increases the relevance of Bauer Media Outdoor's digital network for both audiences and advertisers.

Topicality as valuable content enrichment

"This collaboration makes our screens even more relevant to passers-by and more attractive to advertisers. By integrating topical content from RTL, we add dynamism and informative value to the daily street scene,"

said Wierish Debipersad, Commercial Director at Bauer Media Outdoor. The collaboration contributes to Bauer Media Outdoor's mission as Platform for Good to offer not only commercial, but also informative content at the right time and place.

Smart technology, real-time updates

The implementation is technically simple and scalable. Bauer Media Outdoor books a one-off URL on its digital screens, after which RTL's technical teams provide up-to-date content via that connection. Thanks to a test screen at RTL headquarters, the system was extensively tested and optimised beforehand - an example of efficient and innovative content integration.

RTL reaches a wider audience

Ellen van den Berghe, Chief Marketing Officer at RTL, said:
