RET awards concession to Clear Channel Netherlands

Clear Channel Nederland will be responsible for operating RET's analogue advertising spots in Rotterdam and the surrounding area from 1 August 2024. This is one of the largest concessions in the Netherlands, with more than 2,800 analogue boxes distributed across bus shelters and metro panels in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, Albrandswaard, Barendrecht and at various Randstadrail stations, among others.

The concession includes the management, maintenance, damage repair and operation of these objects, including station domination at Beurs metro station. The contract runs for 5 years, with an option to extend for 1 year.

One of the largest concessions in the Netherlands

"RET is one of the largest concessions in the Netherlands, so we are extremely proud to be the operator in Rotterdam from 1 August. With this expansion, we significantly strengthen our national reach and increase visibility for advertisers in top cities like Rotterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Tilburg, Almere, Den Bosch, Leiden, Leeuwarden and Maastricht."

said Wierish Debipersad, Commercial Director at Clear Channel Netherlands.

This addition underlines Clear Channel Netherlands' growth strategy of offering a powerful, nationwide network that responds to both urban dynamics and regional spread.

RET opts for experience and network

RET also sees the partnership as a valuable step in the development of its media capabilities.

"We are enormously pleased with our new media partner, Clear Channel, whose extensive experience in media operations and broad advertiser network make them an indispensable addition to the development of our media aspirations."

Jean Paul Duurland, Marketing, Sales and Services Manager at RET.

The partnership offers opportunities to maximise the media potential of the RET network for both commercial and social campaigns.

Greater visibility in the Randstad

With this concession, Clear Channel strengthens its position in the Randstad region - an important area for national advertisers. The combination of high passenger volume, strategic locations and high object density makes this network attractive to brands seeking impactful visibility in one of the Netherlands' busiest public transport areas.
