

SkyShowtime launches Yellowjackets with impressive OOH
Hit series to be seen in the Netherlands
After worldwide success and seven Emmy nominations in 2022, the psychological horror series Yellowjackets will be seen in the Netherlands via SkyShowtime. The series, which interweaves the gruesome survival journey of a girls' football team after a plane crash with their lives 25 years later, has managed to grab viewers worldwide - and that should be celebrated.
For the launch of season 2, SkyShowtime chose a powerful outdoor campaign, in partnership with Bauer Media Outdoor.
Making an impression with 2D effects
Besides a nationwide campaign, several freestanding panels were dressed up with 2D effects in five cities - Eindhoven, Almere, Tilburg, Maastricht and Zaandam. On each panel, the main character from the series was placed life-size on top of the object, as a kind of sentinel over the city.
This created tension and mysticism on the street - exactly what characterises the series.
Bus stops with shadow play provide additional layer
In addition, 50 bus stops have stickers on the roof, creating a striking shadow of the Yellowjackets logo and SkyShowtime on the street in sunlight.
This clever use of daylight creates an extra layer within the campaign - perfectly matching the mysterious nature of the series.
OOH as an extension of content storytelling
By bringing elements from the series onto the streets, the world of Yellowjackets becomes tangible and visible in the everyday lives of the target audience.
This campaign shows how OOH can perfectly function as an extension of content marketing, passing on recognition, atmosphere and excitement to the audience.
