Orange Lionesses surprise with creative podcast campaign
The power of storytelling during the World Cup
During the World Cup2023 in Australia and New Zealand, the KNVB brought the Orange feeling closer with the podcast The Oranje Beat. In this podcast, two players with a strong personal connection talked to each other each time. The listener was included in their experiences, successes and challenges - not only on the pitch, but also off it.
The result: an intimate glimpse into the life of the Dutch national team that offered fans a unique experience.
Creative use of OOH networks
To make the podcast visible and audible in the Netherlands, the KNVB worked with Bauer Media Outdoor for an eye-catching out-of-home campaign.
Giant headphones at Philips Stadium
A metre-high orange headphone, mounted on a freestanding advertising object, caught the attention of thousands of passers-by at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. This eye-catching creation made the link with audio immediately tangible and reinforced the campaign message: listen to the Orange story.
Podcast sound in car parks
Bauer Media Outdoor's Inner City Live network was also cleverly deployed. In several parking garages in Dutch cities, digital screens were equipped with headphones where visitors could listen to excerpts from the podcast on the spot.
This form of 'audio-OOH' gave the campaign an extra dimension and increased interaction with the audience on location.
Bauer Media Outdoor as activation partner
Working with Bauer Media Outdoor highlights the power of Digital Out of Home (DOOH) and creative customisation. Combining visual impact and audio clips in strategic locations not only increased the reach of the campaign but also maximised audience engagement.
