Christmas campaign focusing on child poverty

In Christmas 2024, Lidl Netherlands launched an eye-catching campaign focusing on the theme 'the magic of sharing'. Central to this campaign was a unique raccoon cuddly toy, the entire proceeds of which were donated to the Youth Education Fund. This cuddly toy also featured prominently in Lidl's Christmas commercial, symbolising the importance of sharing during the holidays.

Nationwide outdoor advertising campaign strengthens the message

Outdoor advertising was used nationwide as part of the campaign to reach as many people as possible. In addition, in Amsterdam an impressive mural graced the city throughout the December month and at the Vrijthof in Maastricht a bus stop was completely transformed. These specials reinforced the campaign and caught the public's attention.

Call to action as an additional message

Besides buying the raccoon cuddly toy, Lidl called on its customers to contribute to a feast for children growing up in poverty.
