Sinterklaas is coming... and Jumbo was there!

In the run-up to Saint Nicholas Eve, Jumbo surprised passers-by in Almere and Den Bosch with a unique activation in the public space. Two bus stops were completely transformed into real gingerbread stands, complete with gingerbread dispensers, a photo wall and a cheerful activation team. The campaign perfectly capitalised on the Saint Nicholas experience and combined brand activation with tasty interaction.

"Whoever is sweet..." gets a choice of surprising flavours

On the spot, passers-by could taste different flavours of spiced nuts, including surprising varieties such as carrot cake and white chocolate. The dispensers were used enthusiastically - from young to old - and reinforced the warm, festive character of the campaign. With the slogan "He who is sweet gets goodies", Jumbo perfectly matched the holiday sentiment.

Street sampling, photo wall and sweepstakes

Besides tasting, visitors could also have their picture taken at a specially set up photo wall, as well as take part in a raffle to win a gigantic 1.80-metre long gingerbread bean bag. This made the bus stop not just a place to wait, but a place to experience and share.

OOH with a smile: impact through interaction

This campaign shows how Out of Home (OOH) can do much more than just generate visibility. By focusing on interaction and experience, a bus stop becomes a place where brand experience is created - and memories are made.
