How do you recruit young people in a way that really appeals? Together with the Ministry of Defence, Bauer Media Outdoor Netherlands developed an innovative augmented reality (AR) experience that introduces schoolchildren to the world of Defence in a surprising and interactive way.

Defence uniform fitting with augmented reality

At secondary schools across the country, youngsters had the chance to see themselves in various Defence uniforms in a split second - from army and air force to navy and military police. Thanks to smart AR technology, they instantly saw what they would look like as soldiers.

Technology, experience and recruitment in one

This unique recruitment campaign combines technology, experience and outreach to engage young people in a contemporary way about working at Defence. By literally stepping into the shoes of a soldier, the step towards a possible career at Defence became tangible and inspiring.
